Our Systems team at Arise is looking for an AWS Engineer who will report into the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering and will help develop and implement controls and processes to better manage the systems across Arise and will be a key member of AWS Cloud Migration initiative. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to drive tasks to completion independently, and able to learn new skills on the job as project requirements expand. Our team's mission is to envision, build and deploy the next generation of Cloud platform for data ingestion, processing, storage, and analysis at scale. What you will take on:
  • Responsible for planning, designing and implementation of AWS cloud infrastructure and also responsible for providing cost effective, secure and highly performant solutions for all AWS cloud infrastructure implementation
  • Experience in implementing AWS infrastructure as "infrastructure as code" using Terraform or something similar scripting
  • Experience in setting up VPCs, Transit Gateway, Load balancers, Site-to-site VPN, AWS Firewall or equivalent third-party firewalls on AWS cloud and also experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Certificate Management
  • Experience of monitoring Framework (such as CloudWatch, datadog etc)
  • Experience of network fundamentals and deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in order to identify network and system issues and resolve/mitigate the issues quickly
  • Knowledge in onboarding of application into Okta but not required
  • Experience in implementing, running and maintaining a 24/7 production environment
  • Experience in providing architecture/system documentation and should have strong communication skills in general
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of VMware technologies and also demonstrate implementing and managing on-premises VMware infrastructure. Experience in designing and implementing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and enabling template management.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving VMware environment issues.

Our new team member will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
  • Knowledge to cloud computing concepts and design consideration
  • Three years of experience in BASH, python scripting etc.
  • 10 years of experience managing on-premises VMware infrastructure
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, creative thinking and design skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Work Schedule/Location: Work until 2pm EST (end of shift), flexibility when needed); India Based
