Job description

As an Architect - Development, you will be responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Location Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and production support processes. You will serve as the technical expert for Location MDM platforms, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, governance, and availability of location master data across the enterprise. This role will identify and develop enhancements to existing Location MDM capabilities, troubleshoot production issues, and collaborate with business partners and technical teams to deliver scalable data management solutions that support operational and strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage the evaluation, identification, development, and implementation of Location MDM solutions that support enterprise business processes and data governance initiatives.
    • Define, document, and maintain Location Master Data models, location hierarchies, reference data standards, and system integrations.
    • Lead the design and implementation of location data governance frameworks, stewardship processes, and master data quality controls.
    • Locate and direct solutions for critical challenges involving Location MDM applications, interfaces, data integrations, and downstream business systems.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve failures within existing and newly developed MDM applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
    • Design real-time and batch integrations between Location MDM platforms and enterprise applications within a cloud-native ecosystem.
    • Architect data enrichment, validation, matching, survivorship, and location hierarchy management processes.
    • Guide all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) while ensuring MDM solutions align with business requirements, governance standards, and architectural principles.
    • Troubleshoot production issues of all levels and severities, track incidents from identification through resolution, and ensure best practices are followed for root cause analysis and problem management.
    • Provide Level 3 production support for Location MDM applications and integrations, including on-call support for critical incidents when required.
    • Monitor production environments, proactively identify data quality issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain location master data accuracy.
    • Partner with Data Governance, Supply Chain, Operations, Real Estate, Logistics, and Business teams to define and manage location master data standards and business rules.
    • Design, implement, and optimize location hierarchy structures, site relationships, regional mappings, and geographic data standards.
    • Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, security, privacy, and audit requirements related to location master data.
    • Work with IT leadership and business partners to design scalable MDM features and capabilities within the enterprise cloud platform.
    • Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions related to Location MDM enhancements and production support initiatives.
    • Develop automation and monitoring solutions that improve operational stability, supportability, and overall platform performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree - Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 years experience in a lead development role.
  • 5+ years experience in common programming and data language, for example, JAVA, Python, SQL, .NET, API, or Data Base, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 9 years experience in a lead development role.
  • 5+ years experience in Cloud Solution.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (such as CosmosDB).
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment.
