Job description

Peerless is searching for an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile software development teams in delivering high-quality, mission-critical systems. The selected candidate will serve as a servant leader, facilitating Agile processes, promoting team collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of software products in a dynamic and secure environment. The Scrum Master will work closely with Product Owners, development teams, and other Scrum Masters to support planning, execution, and release activities, while ensuring teams are prepared for technical reviews and program milestones. The position may also support secure environments requiring adherence to classified information handling procedures.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

  • Can be remote but must be able to drive to Dayton for important meetings and conferences each month

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification (Scrum Alliance)

  • Experience facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)

  • Experience supporting and educating Product Owners, including backlog refinement and prioritization

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and techniques (User Stories, CI/CD, Definition of Done/Ready, Acceptance Criteria)

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile integration

  • Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and dynamic project environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM) certification

  • Experience supporting software testing activities, including test plan and procedure development, test execution and reporting, and requirements verification and user acceptance

  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., TestComplete, Google Test, QF-Test)

  • Experience writing test utilities using programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++

  • Experience working in classified or secure DoD environments
