Backend Software Engineer

GC/USC

REMOTE

Responsibilities:

Design and implement robust, scalable backend solutions using Java, Python, or Node.js

Build and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with front-end applications and third-party services

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers

Optimize backend code for performance, reliability, and scalability

Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy and manage services

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, peer code reviews, and technical design discussions

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend development

Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or Node.js

Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API development
