Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience writing production code in C/C++
• Comfort working in a Linux and/or embedded systems environment
• Networking foundational knowledge (LANs, routing, switching, wireless)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

You will be responsible for crafting and implementing features that improve the reliability, simplicity, security, and performance of our products. Our projects are driven by technological innovation and developer creativity in addition to market demands, giving you the structure and freedom to pursue projects you are most passionate about. With millions of people using Meraki products around the world, your work will have a significant impact from the day it is deployed
•  Lead in the design and development of Meraki’s node connectivity solution
• Work with all teams across Engineering to improve core functionality and optimize development cycles.
• Mentor junior developers in the art of software engineering
• Drive debugging of issues when things don't go as planned
• Be responsible for evaluating the performance of existing components and subsystems
 
Nice to have skills:
•  Experience working with gRPC
• Expertise in networking, including TCP/IP(v4, v6) networks, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP, ARP
• Experience with embedded systems development such as Yocto and buildroot
• Experience with network security
