  • Manages, supervises, provides direction, and oversees the activities of employees from both personnel and programmatic direction perspectives. Directs staff in their activities to meet programmatic goals for end user support and device support.
  • Directs work tasks and activities of staff in connection with technical design and support efforts across the IHS.
  • Directs and monitors IT projects with employees across functional boundaries within IHS.
  • Ensures performance of critical IT functions and maintains availability of critical data used in the
    agency's delivery of healthcare and administrative processes.
  • Plans, develops, and implements enhancements to IHS enterprise-wide IT infrastructure services
    which support the overall connectivity, data transmission, and voice and messaging communication

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below-
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level at GS-14 in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Experience planning, directing, and evaluating enterprise-wide IT operations, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of mission-critical infrastructure supporting organizational objectives. Led complex IT projects involving network services, telecommunications, data center operations, and enterprise technologies while developing and implementing IT policies, standards, and strategic plans in compliance with Federal requirements, including Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and HHS guidance. Supervised multidisciplinary IT teams, established work priorities, evaluated employee performance, managed workforce planning, and provided technical and administrative leadership to accomplish organizational goals. Managed multimillion-dollar IT budgets and acquisitions. Provided executive-level recommendations on IT investments and operational strategy. Collaborated with senior leadership and external stakeholders to improve enterprise IT service delivery.

This position requires the following certifications:
  • Current Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer's Representative, Level II (FAC-COR, Level II).
