The Department of Economic Security, Division of Technology Services (DTS), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as a Helpdesk Analyst. This position will serve as an Inventory Specialist. It will be a part of the CAM's (Centralized Asset Management) Team, as a support function to the DES warehouse and Desktop Support team/regions. This position will aid in maintaining accurate inventory control at the DES warehouse and any IT equipment in DTS's possession, while assisting with imaging and prep work of equipment. This position will be the primary owner and contact for IT hardware related tickets, and support the Desktop Support teams by delivering pre-imaged and configured equipment as needed for requests. This position will pick up additional stock or surplus equipment from the Desktop Support team, to be re-imaged, redeployed, or surplussed. The position will respond to equipment requests from program supervisors for new staff, and tickets requesting pick up of equipment for off-boarded employees. The Central Asset Management team provides service to all DES offices statewide. Statewide responsibilities include travel and overtime may be required.
This position is based in a DES building and will not offer remote work.

All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance. This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the department's needs and continual meetings of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for warehouse physical inventory, receiving and accepting into inventory, inventory maintenance, and reconciliation of IT hardware.
Participating in the imaging production and deployment process, to include: Imaging and re-imaging of IT hardware, Division specific post-image setup, the installation of a variety of software packages. The validation of installation and communication of DTS tool sets (Absolute, ICE/Crowdstrike, SCCM, Tanium, etc.).
Responsible for the deliver and pick up of all computer equipment, hardware, and surplus to and from the warehouse to support teams, and DES offices within Arizona. In-state travel will be required for this role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
Inventory process or procedures
Current and supported Operating Systems and Applications, including but not limited to
Windows 10, MS Office 365, Google platform
Imaging of IT desktop hardware
Installation of a variety of in-house, vendor supported, 3rd party software packages using scripts
Skills In:
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Strong customer service skills
Responds promptly to customer needs; takes a customer-centric approach to problem solving
Ability to:
Understand the inter-workings of personal computer hardware and software
Communicate with technical and nontechnical staff
Continually learn in an ever-changing environment
Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
In-state travel will be required for State business

Selective Preference(s):

This ideal candidate for this position will have:
Two years' experience providing technical support in a call center environment.
Two years' experience providing hands-on desktop support.
Advanced technical training (A+, Microsoft, Google, Hardware, Software, customer service) preferred

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969.
This position will require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver's License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency's ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period.
