Senior CMDB Analyst

Location: Raleigh, NC

Onsite Flexibility: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr CMDB Analyst who will support a complex project for the CMDB including a ServiceNow Upgrade, ServiceNow convergence, and Data Center tracking. The CMDB Analyst will also support data accuracy, ensuring relevant and quality data is priority from the start and delivering a trusted data source for IT. The client is one of the largest banks in the country with over 17,000 employees and more than $200 billion in assets, offering an array of general banking services and commercial banking expertise delivering best-in-class lending, leasing and other financial services.

The ideal candidate will work with data center managers to ensure completeness and accuracy of the CMDB for data center moves and improve CI location information consumed from the company's datacenter management system. The CMDB Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and producing reports using the CMDB data including inventory reports, management reports, impact analysis reports, configuration status reports using the CMDB Query Builder for cross data functional views. Additionally, the CMDB Analyst will be responsible for maintenance of the CMDB Health configurations, have the ability to create custom KPIs and support the teams operating procedures for auditing the CMDB and identify opportunities for improvement. Overall the ideal candidate is a self-starter that can operate at a high level in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience
  • 8 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, required.
  • 3 years of relevant experience with the CMDB and the CSDM framework.
Required Skills
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification with advanced knowledge of ITIL best practices and application of concepts with expertise in Configuration Management and working knowledge of ITAM and ITSM processes.
Preferred Skills
  • ServiceNow Certifications in CMDB, Discovery, Application Service Mapping, Platform Analytics a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Agile and SDLC delivery methods.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field of study or relevant field, required, or additional working experience in lieu.
