These competencies ensure accurate inventory tracking, minimize errors, and facilitate seamless operations across distributed teams.

What are some common challenges faced in a remote inventory control role, and how can they be addressed?

A common challenge in remote inventory control is maintaining real-time accuracy and visibility into stock levels without being physically present at the warehouse. This can be addressed by leveraging inventory management software that supports real-time data entry and regular communication with on-site staff. Establishing clear protocols for reporting discrepancies and scheduling frequent virtual check-ins with the warehouse team also helps ensure issues are resolved promptly. Job description

About The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced Manufacturing and Industrial Operations professionals to support a cutting-edge AI benchmarking project focused on industrial, production, and supply chain environments. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will create and review realistic, high-quality scenarios that reflect operational, engineering, procurement, production, logistics, and inventory management challenges across manufacturing facilities and industrial operations. Your expertise will help ensure AI systems understand and respond accurately within one of India's most strategically important sectors.

What You’ll Deliver
  • Design realistic Manufacturing and Industrial Operations scenarios in the target language or English grounded in target locale operational contexts (e.g., production workflows, procurement coordination, quality control, industrial maintenance, process optimization, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving activities)

  • Adapt structured evaluation rubrics for operational problem-solving, engineering analysis, inventory coordination, and production management tasks

  • Review AI and human-generated responses for factual accuracy, operational efficiency, safety awareness, and industrial realism

  • Contribute to “gold standard” solutions reflecting best practices across target locale manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain operations

Qualifications
  • Native-level of target language with strong professional English proficiency

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Operations, Production Management, Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain Operations

  • Background in one or more relevant roles: Purchasing & Procurement, Production Supervision, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Logistics Coordination, or Manufacturing Operations

  • Strong understanding of industrial workflows, operational safety standards, production processes, procurement procedures, and Indian manufacturing environments

Why Collaborate with Lilt?

What to Consider Before Applying

As a 1099 contractor, you won't receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions, and hours are not guaranteed.

  • Requires reliable availability and commitment. Once you accept a task, we expect quality work and on-time delivery. Most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week. If your schedule is unpredictable, this may not be the right fit.

  • Geographic restrictions may apply. We cannot engage contractors in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions. As a 1099 contractor, you are solely responsible for your own tax obligations. We recommend consulting a tax professional before engaging.
