This position is fully remote.
Overview
The Business Analyst is responsible for designing, producing, and analyzing data-driven reports to support business operations and special projects. This role involves utilizing various databases, information systems, and analytical tools to monitor, evaluate, and enhance business performance. The Business Analyst also assists in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of information systems, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and usability for decision-making. This role is ideal for an analytically minded professional who enjoys working with data, optimizing reporting systems, and supporting business decision-making through actionable insights.
The Business Analyst is responsible for designing and generating reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business operations. Analyzing trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights and maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in reporting. The incumbent must be able to utilize SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools to extract and manipulate data; conduct statistical analysis to support data-driven decision-making and translate complex data into concise, easy-to-understand reports for stakeholders. The Business Analyst must be able to assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of business information systems; maintain data structures, queries, and reporting tools to support business needs; and work closely with IT teams to ensure data availability and system functionality. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for: documenting business processes, data sources, and reporting methodologies, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement, providing recommendations for enhancing data collection, storage, and analysis methods while working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT to understand reporting needs.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Certification/Licensure
  • No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Reporting, or a related field (Required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting (Required)
  • Experience working with large datasets across multiple databases and data sources (Required)
  • Strong experience in data reconciliation, validation, and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy and integrity (Required)
  • Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI (Required)
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, SQL querying, and reporting platforms (Required)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience supporting business process improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, finance, or enterprise data environments is a plus.
