Job description

Description
Company Summary:
Lamps Plus exists to light up your most cherished moments! Lamps Plus is the nation's largest specialty lighting, furniture, and home décor retailer. We offer over 90,000 designs from famous brands to 20+ exclusive lines, with hundreds of new designs introduced every week. Founded in 1975, the Los Angeles based, privately held company maintains a thriving e-commerce site, B2B model, and operates over 20 retail stores across the western United States. At Lamps Plus, we believe in helping others shine.
Position Summary:
We're building a supply chain analytics team that can operate at a high level with minimal overhead - and we're looking for the person who completes it. The Supply Chain Analyst, Marketplace Operations is responsible for owning end-to-end marketplace performance across six retail channels: Amazon, Walmart, Target, eBay, Macy's, and Lowe's (onboarding). This role sits alongside specialists in pricing and master data to form a well-rounded analyst team, ensuring availability, fulfillment velocity, and operational health across our catalog.
This role ensures operational efficiency, channel compliance, and service excellence while aligning marketplace execution with overall supply chain strategy. A key part of how this team operates is clear communication - written and verbal - and the ability to document processes in a way that creates lasting organizational knowledge. This analyst will enthusiastically demonstrate a Can-Do Attitude, be Endlessly Curious, and Make the Complex Simple.
Responsibilities:
Marketplace Operations
• Own product availability, fulfillment performance, and compliance across all channels - when something breaks, you find it first and drive it to resolution
• Manage day-to-day operations across Amazon (Seller/Vendor Central), Walmart, Target, eBay, Macy's, and lead Lowe's onboarding from an ops standpoint
• Monitor retailer compliance requirements (routing guides, ASNs, chargeback rules) and resolve issues proactively
Inventory & Demand Analysis
• Track supply against demand by channel and SKU - you won't just flag the risk, you'll bring a recommended action
• Identify stockout risk and overstock exposure; preemptively provide actionable recommendations to procurement and logistics teams
• Drive improved in-stock rates, inventory productivity, and service levels across all channels
Fulfillment & 3PL Coordination
• Own the relationship with fulfillment and warehouse partners on day-to-day execution
• Investigate and resolve SLA misses, chargeback risks, and carrier exceptions end-to-end
• Ensure consistent, reliable order fulfillment across all marketplace channels
Performance & Accountability
• Build and maintain dashboards tracking fill rate, OTIF, return rates, and days of supply - the goal isn't a pretty report, it's giving stakeholders what they need to act
• Contribute to a regular operating cadence to review channel performance and surface improvement opportunities
• Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to manage costs and support supply chain processes
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Work alongside pricing and master data analysts as a peer; serve as the marketplace ops subject matter expert
• Partner with Merchandising, Logistics, and Tech teams to align channel strategies with business objectives
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly - in writing and in meetings - to audiences ranging from ops teams to senior leadership
Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement
• Document standard operating procedures, workflows, and playbooks for marketplace operations - creating resources the team can actually use
• Translate complex processes into clear, structured documentation that reduces dependency on tribal knowledge
• Proactively spot inefficiencies before you're asked to - bring ideas for how to do things better and follow them through
• Lead or support initiatives to improve automation, data accuracy, and operational scalability
• Bring a pragmatic, ROI-focused approach to process change
Who We're Looking For:
• Proactive problem-solver who sees a gap and closes it - without waiting to be asked
• Strong written communicator who can turn a messy process into a clean SOP or a sharp stakeholder update
• Naturally curious operator who gets into the data weeds while keeping the bigger picture in view
• Comfortable building structure in ambiguous situations, not just executing within defined ones
• Collaborative peer who earns trust by having the answer - or knowing how to get it
• Results-oriented, with a bias for follow-through over hand-offs
• Home improvement retail experience desired
• ERP or WMS exposure (NetSuite, SAP, Manhattan)
• Experience onboarding a new retail channel from scratch
• Demand forecasting experience
• Background in a high-growth or resource-constrained environment
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field desired
• 4-6 years of experience in supply chain, marketplace operations, or e-commerce - preferably in specialty retail or consumer goods
• Hands-on Amazon experience required (Seller Central, Vendor Central, or both)
• Exposure to multi-channel retail (big-box, department store, or marketplace)
• Demonstrated ability to document business processes, SOPs, or workflows in a clear, structured format
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - comfortable presenting findings to cross-functional stakeholders
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Excel; experience building your own analysis from scratch
• Experience with BI tools - you build dashboards, not just read them
• Familiarity with retailer compliance requirements (routing guides, ASNs, chargebacks)
Physical and Travel Requirements:
• Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at times
• Occasional travel based on business needs
Salary Range: $71,000 - $85,000
