Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ethical and empathetic individual counseling sessions with clients via video chat, ensuring a safe and supportive space for their mental health needs.
• Implement evidence-based, solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and experiences.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ specific goals and needs.
• Facilitate insightful conversations with clients to help them explore their emotions, thoughts, and interpersonal relationships.
• Regularly monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans and strategies as necessary to foster healthy coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve stable, low-acuity adults who present with a diverse array of mental health challenges. Our goal is to empower these individuals through effective assessments and personalized treatment plans, helping them acquire the skills required to improve their overall quality of life. Clients come from various backgrounds, requiring a therapist who can adapt their approach to meet individual differences while ensuring high standards of care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is mandatory.
• You must possess a current and unrestricted license to practice independently, including one of the following: LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW.
• No limited or provisional licenses are accepted, and candidates should have no history of disciplinary action.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine empathetic nature are essential for building rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in technology, including virtual counseling platforms, is necessary to navigate our comprehensive telehealth system efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in teletherapy or remote counseling is preferred, although we provide training for those who may be new to this setting.
• Experience working with diverse populations and the ability to utilize culturally responsive practices in therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems can be a plus.
