Position Summary

CVS Specialty Pharmacy provides medications and support for rare and complex conditions. The Nurse, Clinical Operations position is primarily responsible for supporting the clinical operations of CVS Specialty Pharmacy. Responsibilities include patient education, adherence monitoring, and Adverse Drug Event (ADE) reporting.

Location and hours:

  • This is a fully remote position
  • Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of either our Orlando, FL, or Tampa, FL Specialy Pharmacy locations so they are able to come into the office in the event they are not able to work from their own home unexpectedly on a given day.
  • Working hours will be 12:00-8:30 Eastern Time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs telephonic counseling to new patients on their disease process, prescribed drug action, common side effects and treatment parameters

  • Provides patient education directly or in response to telephonic inquires to patients. Patient education will include but will not be limited to the following areas:
    - Chronic disease states such as, oncology, asthma, multiple sclerosis, cancer, hepatitis C, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, PAH, cystic fibrosis
    - Current treatment modalities
    - Common side effects and management.
    - Adherence monitoring and outbound calls

  • Collaborates with physicians and their staff as needed to resolve clinical issues, obtain clinical data or prescriptions

  • Assists in the training of new clinical staff on specific chronic illnesses and treatment modalities

  • Maintains nursing CEUS and seeks continuous learning opportunities

  • Practices with professionalism and accountability as an employee of CVS

  • Report Adverse Drug Event (ADE)

  • Other responsibilities as directed by senior management

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted multi-state registered nursing license in state of FL with the ability to become licensed in states not part of the Nurse Licensure Compact.

  • 3+ years' experience in a clinical setting, Medical/Surgical experience is preferred

  • Experience with personal computer, keyboard navigation, and MS Office Suite applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Must live within a 50-mile radius of either our Orlando, FL, or Tampa, FL Specialy Pharmacy locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an acute care setting providing care to patients with chronic conditions (e.g. Medical Surgical, Oncology, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension).
  • Experience within telephonic nursing

The typical pay range for this role is:

$29.10 - $62.32

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
