Introduction The Plans Examiner, SR - Civil performs senior-level review of construction documents for compliance with adopted codes, City standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. This position requires independent judgment in interpreting complex submittals, coordinating corrections across departments, and communicating technical requirements to engineers, developers, and contractors. The ideal candidate brings substantial municipal plan review experience in a high-volume environment and is proficient in electronic plan review platforms.

Effective June 14, 2026, the salary range for this position will be $77,313.60 - $104,478.40/annually. Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $90,833.60/annually

Three years of experience with construction plan review specific to the job assignment or discipline. An equivalent combination of education and job related experience may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis
