Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Braillist in an educational environment
- Ability to produce braille materials with rapid turnaround, ideally staying 1-2 weeks ahead of curriculum needs
- Expertise in using Rogue Embosser and Duxbury Software; proficiency with HMH platforms for Reading/Math and STEM classwork is highly desirable
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Strong organizational skills with a talent for managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Quick, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Translate print materials into braille to support student learning across subjects
- Proactively collaborate with the instructional team to anticipate and meet material needs in advance of delivery dates
- Operate braille production equipment and relevant software effectively for high-quality outputs
- Maintain organized records of completed and pending work to ensure deadlines are met
