University Extension is the continuing and professional education division of the University of California, Riverside offering programs and certificates to domestic and international students. University Extension values excellence and has educated international students for over forty years.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Position Title: Part-Time Fiduciary Management Instructor
Salary Range: Instructor compensation of $875. per unit, per course. Additionally, a Course Development Fee of $100 per unit is payable for the first time the course is taught in each modality.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
University Extension is seeking experienced professionals to join our instructional teams as part-time instructors for adult learners. This recruitment is for part-time instructors to teach one or more courses in Extension's Professional Certificate in Fiduciary Management. This Professional Certificate resides in the Department of Professional Programs. The curriculum for this program is designed to teach adult learners the legal procedures, business standards of practice, legal theory, ethics, as well as accounting and asset management.
Courses are 6-8 weeks in length, and average 3 - 4 teaching hours per week. Additionally, courses in this program are offered synchronously online. Courses are typically scheduled Monday through Friday, in the early evenings (Pacific Standard Time).
Courses include:
Overview of Fiduciary Management
Practical Applications of Accounting for the Professional Fiduciary
Introduction to Conservatorships of the Person and Estate
Management of Estate Assets
Professional Fiduciary Business Practices
Decedent's Estate Practices and Procedures
Trust Administration and Procedure
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide instruction in accordance with the established instructional agreement, curriculum outlines, and class schedules provided by University Extension.
  • Communicate teaching objectives and specific learning outcomes to students and clearly outline the grading policies of the course.
  • Work in conjunction with collaborative partners and subject matter experts in order to ensure that course information is current.
  • Participate in scheduled orientations, meetings, and mandatory training programs by UCR's established deadlines.
  • Maintain timely and accurate academic records within the learning management system and submit timely and accurate documentation as outlined in the instructional agreement.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:
  • Licensed Fiduciary in the State of California.
  • Advanced degree in Law or Professional Fiduciary.
  • Five years of related work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide instruction online.
  • Commitment to diversity and the University's mission.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching adult learners.
  • Experience with curriculum development and course design.
  • Experience teaching online courses using Canvas.
  • Ability to teach a wide range of courses.
