Job Description:Our client is seeking a senior SAP MRP Application Architect to lead the implementation of SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) for a brand-new enterprise SAP landscape. This individual will serve as both the functional and technical point of contact, guiding the client from discovery and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and go-live. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading end-to-end SAP MRP implementations, facilitating executive-level workshops, and delivering solutions within complex, highly regulated environments.

Job Summary:

  • Serve as the functional and technical lead for a greenfield SAP MRP implementation.
  • Meet daily with client stakeholders to drive project progress and align on deliverables.
  • Lead Phase 0 activities, including discovery, requirements gathering, and solution conceptualization.
  • Facilitate functional workshops to define future-state Materials Requirements Planning processes.
  • Design and configure SAP MRP functionality, including material master, BOMs, planning strategies, lot sizing, and planning parameters.
  • Partner with supply chain stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Develop functional specifications, implementation documentation, and planning governance standards.
  • Design planning runs, exception management processes, and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Support data migration planning, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning, and deployment activities.
  • Integrate SAP MRP with procurement, warehouse management, and finance processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership throughout the engagement.
  • Drive project execution from discovery through go-live while establishing long-term client relationships.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10 years of overall SAP experience.
  • 7 years leading SAP implementation projects.
  • Multiple end-to-end SAP MRP implementations with successful go-live experience.
  • Deep expertise in SAP MM/PP with a strong focus on Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Experience leading functional discovery sessions and design workshops.
  • Experience guiding clients through discovery, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and adoption.
  • Strong understanding of MTS, MTO, reorder point planning, forecast-based planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Experience implementing SAP solutions within highly regulated industries such as Federal Government, DOE, Utilities, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or similar environments.
  • Strong client-facing consulting experience with the ability to lead executive-level discussions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project ownership, follow-through, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% to client sites in Aiken, SC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP S/4HANA MRP Live experience.
  • Experience integrating SAP MRP with Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
  • Experience integrating with SAP Finance (FI/CO).
  • Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) integration experience.
