Job description

Title: Product Manager
Location: Fully Remote
Reports To: Principal Product Owner
Expion Health is building the future of pharmacy economics. As architects of prescription economics, we design how pharmacy value is created, aligning cost, clinical decisions, and performance into one accountable system that moves beyond rebates. We help organizations stay ahead of pharmacy market change with clear insight, bold thinking, and strategies built for what's next, leading the next era of prescription economics.
The Role
We are looking for a Product Manager to own one of our core data and reporting product lines end-to-end, someone who is a collaborative, execution-driven leader. This role establishes and maintains standardized processes, tools, and practices while turning evolving business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
As the steward of our data, the Product Manager leads the full product lifecycle, from discovery and planning through development, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement. You'll partner closely with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to keep work aligned and decisions transparent, well-documented, and grounded in business priorities.
This role thrives on clarity, teamwork, and adaptability. You'll build repeatable frameworks, strengthen cross-department collaboration, and evolve processes to support a fast-growing, ever-changing business, ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable data and reporting products.
What You'll Own
  • Own the product lifecycle. Lead assigned data and reporting products from requirements gathering and development through launch, iteration, and sunset. Manage the development pipeline by balancing team capacity and priorities across multiple groups against a strategically aligned roadmap.
  • Turn vision into execution. Translate product vision into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications that give teams a sharp, actionable plan to build against.
  • Partner across the business. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across IT, Clinical, Account Management, and beyond, keeping everyone aligned on goals, deliverables, KPIs, and strategic direction through consistent, timely communication.
  • Deliver with quality. Oversee timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination so features and enhancements ship on time, are thoroughly validated, and are backed by data.
  • Build repeatable frameworks. Establish and maintain standardized processes, tools, and practices, with clear, comprehensive documentation of product requirements, workflows, and release notes.
  • Shape the roadmap. Monitor product performance, user feedback, market trends, and competitive dynamics to spot opportunities for enhancement, innovation, and long-term product evolution.
  • Champion the client. Advocate for a unified, first-class client experience, partnering with internal teams to address feedback, resolve issues, and continuously improve product and service delivery.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally within healthcare, IT, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), or health technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare, business, or technology.
  • A track record of managing complex product delivery cycles with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and product management tools (Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar).
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and listening skills, a strong presenter and storyteller who can make complex concepts, insights, and recommendations clear and actionable for partners at every level.
  • Comfort thriving in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, adapting scope, priorities, and responsibilities to meet the needs of a growing business.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and sound decision-making.
  • Ability to support Sales/Account Management through product demonstrations, training materials, and even client demonstrations.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and staying current with industry trends.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, training, or company events.

Bonus points for:
  • Healthcare product management experience with an emphasis on pharmacy solutions.
  • Strong business, data, and financial acumen, with the ability to translate market needs into product strategy.
  • Experience owning data products or reporting solutions end-to-end, defining data requirements, managing data quality, and delivering business-facing analytics that drive decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with data reporting platforms and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or other business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience with contract management, vendor coordination, or third-party integrations within healthcare ecosystems.
  • A history of building strong relationships and creative, client-focused solutions in lean, fast-moving environments.
