Job description

Job Duties

Provide new product development and product rationalization recommendations to Product Managers leveraging industry knowledge and experience (10%). Identify opportunities and make strategic recommendations for new product development and research initiatives by utilizing knowledge of competitive landscape, investor profiles, and current product offerings (10%). Collaborate with product managers to equip sales and marketing teams with tailored materials and product positioning support to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients and prospects (5%). Continuously review and assess current investment products for improvements in product positioning, portfolio performance by leveraging research, competitor analysis (2%). Author product positioning statements and substantiate product recommendations and strategic decisions (2%). Provide recommendations for new market entry or product enhancements by leveraging research on current and prospective markets and distribution channels to identify product trends, gaps, and opportunities (5%). Provide timely insights and analysis to account management, sales, product development, marketing, and other stakeholders, enabling effective collaboration in managing, developing, and distributing investment strategies (2%). Work with product managers to drive promotion of investment strategies within client networks by partnering across portfolio specialists, sales, distribution, account management, marketing, and investment teams, and recommending targeted outreach approaches (5%). Job Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, or a related analytical field, or foreign equivalent and 3 years of relevant investment product analysis experience in Investment Management Product Analyst, Financial Product Specialist, or related position.

This position also requires 2 years of experience in mutual fund, ETF, models, and Separately Managed Account (SMA) products at an asset management firm including investment product development/management experience. Experience with research and analytics. Experience using Morningstar Direct, FactSet, SalesForce, and Office 365 tools relevant to industry database. Experience with investments, including asset allocation theories, investment vehicles such as mutual funds, ETFs and SMAs. Experience with performance and performance attribution and MPT statistics related to multi-asset portfolios. Experience with Turnkey Asset Management Platforms (TAMPs) and/or wealth management platforms. Experience with competitive forces, distribution, manufacturers and landscape. Experience with communicating business goals and functional requirements effectively to any audience within the enterprise. Experience in developing investment product specifications based on market information. Experience with technical and financial concepts. *** Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
