They may handle tasks like conducting IP research, preparing and filing applications, monitoring for infringements, and advising clients or companies on IP strategies. Their work ensures that inventions, brands, and creative works are legally protected, even when performed outside a traditional office setting. This role often requires knowledge of IP law, excellent communication skills, and experience with relevant databases and legal documentation.
