Freedom and Wellness Counseling, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health practitioner to join our team as a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC). • Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, integrating a comprehensive understanding of each client's specific needs and circumstances.
• Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V (DSM V) standards for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment strategies.
• Deliver therapy and counseling, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and supportive therapeutic counseling, to individuals, groups, and families, ensuring to adapt methods to resonate with varied client backgrounds.
• Provide education and training to team members and community stakeholders on clinical topics, fostering an environment of learning and progressive change.
• Respond efficiently to crisis situations, offering immediate support while assessing the urgency of clients’ needs and coordinating appropriate interventions.
• Oversee therapy assistants and mental health workers, ensuring high standards of care and effective treatment delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and other community professionals in order to create and implement cross-system treatment plans for individuals.

Your work as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist will primarily focus on serving maternal clients and other underserved populations who often face complex mental health and psychosocial issues. You will play an integral role in improving their mental well-being through targeted, evidence-based interventions, thereby promoting access to health services among those who have historically been overlooked.

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Clinical Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• An independent mental health license in the state of Oregon, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
• Proficient skills in electronic mail and various computer applications, essential for effective communication and documentation.
• A solid understanding of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Proven capability in managing a diverse caseload, coupled with experience interfacing with healthcare providers and support staff.
• Strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of clients through behavioral care.

• Experience and training in evidence-based practices, particularly those focused on maternal mental health.
• A background in integrated care settings, demonstrating adaptability in various therapeutic environments.
• Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to enhance patient tracking and documentation.
