Job description

VetsEZ is seeking a HealthShare Integration Engineer to join our remote team supporting large federal healthcare technology initiatives. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong experience supporting InterSystems HealthShare, Cache, and IRIS environments within enterprise healthcare systems. The selected candidate will support production operations, middleware integrations, CI/CD automation, and Tier 3 application support in a highly collaborative DevSecOps environment. This position requires availability to support an alternative schedule: Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to Midnight EST or 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM EST, and weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST.

The candidate must reside within the continental US or US territories.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain InterSystems HealthShare, Cache, and IRIS production environments.
  • Provide strategies and solutions for automating operations and improving software delivery methodologies and technology processes.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Perform backup, recovery, patching, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) integration activities.
  • Manage certificates and coordinate certificate updates across production and lower-level environments.
  • Provide Tier 3 operational support for HealthShare applications and related middleware technologies.
  • Install, configure, and maintain InterSystems HealthShare base software, kits, and ad-hoc patches.
  • Support OAuth and Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and integration efforts.
  • Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot middleware and integration issues in cloud-based environments.
  • Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Information Technology and/or Federal Government contracting environments.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience coding, supporting, or operating production systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with InterSystems HealthShare, Cache, and IRIS platforms.
  • Experience automating infrastructure, testing, or deployments using Jenkins, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting cloud environments within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience developing and maintaining Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including SAFe and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux administration, Apache, Python scripting, and middleware configuration.
  • Experience configuring and supporting large-scale middleware applications.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an alternative-shift production support environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience with OAuth, SSO, and certificate management in enterprise environments.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification is a plus.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability platforms and enterprise integrations is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
