As a Professional Counselor, you will operate within a community health clinic framework, ensuring that clients have access to high-quality mental health services no matter their circumstances. • Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to inform and design personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing a variety of methods based on best practices.
• Implement therapeutic techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to enhance client outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers—to deliver holistic care for clients.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records in accordance with ethical standards and legal regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest research, attending workshops, and participating in training relevant to the mental health field.

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse client population that includes individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, family dynamics, and relationship challenges. Your expertise will be critical in supporting clients from various backgrounds, ensuring that they receive the individualized care necessary for their healing journey.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Must possess an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• At least two years of experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing counseling practices in Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrated proficiency in establishing rapport with clients, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating well with healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
• Competency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant software applications used in client documentation and management.

• Experience specializing in trauma-informed care, substance abuse counseling, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with culturally competent practices to serve our diverse client base effectively.
• Prior experience in a community health setting will be advantageous.
