This role serves as the lifeline of our operations, feeding critical data to engineering teams to complete verification and certification for our customers.This Position is for Charlotte, North Carolina Location3-Tier Learning StructureTier 1: Single Family (SF) Field InspectorFocus: Energy Code Foundations & TestingInspections: Conduct onsite verification of single-family homes for compliance with IECC Energy Code, Energy Star, GBT, and other programs at various stages (Poly, Pre-drywall, and Final).Field Testing: Perform all required mechanical testing (such as blower door or duct leakage) needed for energy programs.Documentation: Complete all electronic and hardcopy inspection forms onsite to ensure timely billing and modeling.Communication: Communicate with builders at each site visit regarding status and areas for improvement.Tier 2: Residential Build Quality Inspector (BQC)Focus: Comprehensive Quality Assurance & Home ReadinessBiased Assessment: Provide non-biased inspections of completed new construction homes to assess subcontractor workmanship and material quality.Broad Scope: Inspect all aspects of the home, including roofing, masonry, landscaping, interior walls, and flooring.Visual Diagnostics: Perform visual assessments of HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems (no mechanical diagnostics required at this tier).Reporting: Create thorough electronic reports with photos to determine "model home readiness" before the homeowner's walkthrough.Tier 3: Multi-Family (MF) Field InspectorFocus: Large-Scale Project Coordination & Advanced CertificationProject Management: Maintain contact with Project Managers and Superintendents to schedule testing and verification for large-scale developments.Advanced Certifications: Conduct onsite inspections for complex programs including LEED, NGBS, and Cx.Technical Compliance: Follow up with manufacturers to verify compliance for local products, recycled content, and low-emission labeling.Mentorship & Training: Lead trades training sessions with General Contractors and related trade contractors to ensure project-wide compliance.Core Requirements & QualificationsPhysical: Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather/inclement conditions.Logistics: Safe driving record and reliable transportation for commuting between major regional hubs (e.g., Dallas/Ft.
