Overview
Knowledge Services is seeking a remote Data Governance Program Manager/Operations Support for a 12-month project (potential for extension) in support of the State of North Dakota.
  • Local hybrid candidates are preferred, but remote applicants will be considered
  • Please note that we cannot accept any candidates requiring C2C or those requiring sponsorship for a work visa

Responsibilities
Data Governance Program Manager/Operations Support Overview:
• Seeking a resource with senior-level experience, given the need to support governance operations, intake and prioritization, and the repeatable processes
• The Data Governance Operations Support role will provide tactical coordination and operational support to ensure DG pilots, intake processes, standards rollouts and DG related project work more efficiently across business, IT, and program stakeholders.
• This role will also work with North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) to ensure alignment with statewide data governance efforts, policies, standards, etc.
• Coordinate pilot implementation across programs
• Support governance intake workflows and follow-up actions
• Track checklist compliance, onboarding progress and standards adoption.
• Support modernization projects with embedded Data Governance guidance
• Maintain documentation, reporting, meeting notes, and action items tracking.
• Coordinate with data stewards, business teams, IT and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Data Governance Program Manager/Operations Support Required Skills:
• 5-10 years' experience with program coordination, governance operations, data management, or business operations.
• Strong documentation, tracking, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate across business and IT stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred skills:
• Experience with Health and Human Services, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting modernization, reporting, data governance, or standards related initiatives.
• Familiarity with dashboards, data inventories, business glossaries, metadata, data quality tracking, SQL or data queries.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in related field such as computer science.
One of the following certifications is highly desired: CDMP, PMP, or equivalent data governance/project management certification.
• DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• DCAM Certification
• PMP or CAPM
