Job description

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Quality Auditor to join a leading Company located in the Philadelphia, PA surrounding area.

The Quality Auditor is responsible for completing inspections related to evaluations, certifications or listing including qualifying, surveillance and sampling, on-site, in-plant or remote. The Quality Auditor supports our company's missions and goals by performing audits to ensure compliance with internal, external and program requirements.

Job Responsibilities:  
  • Perform regularly scheduled qualifying, surveillance and sampling, both on-site, in-plant or remote as assigned by the department. 
  • Establish excellent relationships with customers to ensure we are respected as a partner. 
  • Ensure all applicable company and department procedures are consistently followed in the execution of inspection jobs. 
  • Continually identify and pursue opportunities for process improvements and promote continuous improvement within the department. 
  • Promote effective communication throughout the organization. Identify opportunities and recommend actions that will enhance communication among all employees. 
  • Contribute on an ongoing basis, insights and ideas for resolving repetitive issues as they arise in the field by establishing and maintaining a consistent line of communication with department managers. 
  • Recommend improved systems, policies, and procedures for the Inspections Department.
  • Continually monitor client's implementation of approved quality systems.
  • Continually evaluate and communicate status of each client's quality system, the agency assigning the inspection. 
  • Schedule factory audits and product sampling throughout the year to ensure efficient operation. 
  • Plan all travel to ensure economic travel by planning in advance and communicating challenges to supervisor or coordinator when needed. 
  • Ensure the average number of unique audits or sampling events are met as assigned by the Director of Inspections. 
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities and special assignments as directed by the Director of Inspections. 

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Must possess, or show the ability to quickly acquire, a sound working knowledge of products and quality standards.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Provides excellent customer service.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working in building construction, manufacturing or performing quality assurance audits. 
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based programs.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, tools, and methods used in construction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff at all organizational levels.
