Job description

Senior DevOps Engineer
Delivering growth for marketers is what NaviStone is all about. For B2C brands in considered-purchase verticals, we deliver proven, time-tested results. The NaviStone platform empowers marketers by finding, activating, and converting lucrative audiences, with incredible impact!
The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with an innovative and forward-thinking team to build, secure, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering NaviStone's platform. You'll use hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes to own CI/CD pipelines, strengthen observability, and run highly available environments with security built in from the start.
What You'll Do
  • You will build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, taking services from commit to production safely and quickly.
  • You will look for opportunities to automate manual or repetitive operational work and improve how we ship software in an AI-forward development team.
  • You will design and maintain reusable Terraform modules that let other engineering teams provision AWS infrastructure consistently and safely.
  • You will deploy, operate, and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including scaling, resource limits, and rollout strategies.
  • You will build dashboards and alerts in Grafana that give the team visibility into service health, latency, and error rates.
  • You will support PostgreSQL and Snowflake infrastructure, partnering with data teams on backups, performance, and access controls.
  • You will apply security best practices across the stack, including least-privilege IAM, encrypted secrets, and network segmentation.
  • You collaborate with software engineers working in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, and build internal tooling in those languages to support their work.
  • You will document infrastructure designs, runbooks, and operational procedures so the team can move quickly and confidently.
  • You will work closely with engineering managers and senior engineers to plan infrastructure work alongside feature development.
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, Platform, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering role, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • You have hands-on experience provisioning AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform or the AWS CDK.
  • You have written and maintained Terraform modules or templates that were reused across projects or teams.
  • You have working experience with Kubernetes, deploying and operating containerized applications in production.
  • You have built or maintained CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions, and are comfortable owning a pipeline end-to-end.
  • You have experience with observability tooling such as Grafana, and can build dashboards and alerts that people actually use.
  • You are comfortable working with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
  • You understand core security fundamentals, including secrets management, least-privilege access, and network security.
  • You have experience with Git and GitHub-based workflows, including code review and branching strategies.
  • Experience with Snowflake or data infrastructure is a plus but not required.
  • You enjoy solving operational problems with automation instead of manual toil.
  • You communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You can prioritize effectively and manage multiple in-flight projects at once.
  • You have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
