Job description

Role Overview

The Senior Mission Success Engineer for US Federal is a hands-on, cleared technical leader responsible for deployment execution, post-deployment technical ownership, and long-term mission success across federal programs.

This role combines the execution depth of a Mission Success Engineer with the sustained ownership and accountability of a Technical Account Manager. Senior Mission Success Enginner lead deployments in FedRAMP-authorized and classified environments, remain embedded through authorization and stabilization, and continue as the primary technical owner throughout the program lifecycle.

This role reports into the Sr. Director of Customer Success & Delivery, US Federal. Success is measured by mission outcomes delivered, authorization milestones achieved, platform stability, customer trust, renewals, and program expansion.

This role will be based remotely in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Cleared deployment execution and platform bring-up

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of Armada platforms including Atlas, Galleon with AEP, and Leviathan AI Factory integrated with Bridge GPUaaS
  • Execute deployments within classified facilities and FedRAMP-regulated environments
  • Own infrastructure bring-up, platform configuration, security hardening, and production readiness validation
  • Make real-time technical decisions across hardware, networking, Kubernetes, storage, and GPU layers within cleared constraints

Technical account ownership and mission success

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned federal programs post go-live
  • Own the long-term technical success, stability, and operational posture of deployed environments
  • Build trusted relationships with government engineers, mission owners, security teams, and integrators
  • Act as Armada's on-the-ground technical authority for federal customers

Joint Success Plan ownership

  • Build, maintain, and actively drive Joint Success Plans (JSPs) for each assigned customer
  • Align deployment milestones, platform adoption, and operational maturity to customer business objectives
  • Use the Joint Success Plan as the primary framework for prioritization, execution, risk management, and value tracking
  • Regularly review progress against success plans with customer stakeholders and Armada leadership
  • Ensure JSPs inform deployment sequencing, adoption strategy, roadmap discussions, and expansion planning
  • Surface risks, dependencies, and blockers early and drive resolution with clear ownership

FedRAMP, security, and accreditation execution

  • Support deployments operating under FedRAMP Moderate and High requirements
  • Partner with customer security and compliance teams on ATO, continuous monitoring, POA&M tracking, and audit readiness
  • Ensure Armada deployments align with NIST 800-53 controls and agency-specific requirements
  • Maintain strict adherence to clearance, need-to-know, and operational security standards

Time-to-value and mission enablement

  • Accelerate time-to-value by enabling early mission workloads once authorization thresholds are met
  • Support transitions from prototype, pilot, or IL environments into sustained production deployments
  • Drive adoption of Atlas operational capabilities and Leviathan AI Factory workloads in support of mission needs

Operational excellence and reliability

  • Ensure environments remain stable, secure, and production-ready
  • Proactively identify operational risks, security gaps, or scaling constraints
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Support teams to resolve issues within federal constraints

Field leadership and mentorship

  • Act as a senior technical presence in cleared environments, setting the standard for execution and professionalism
  • Mentor junior cleared FDEs, CSEs, and delivery engineers
  • Contribute to federal deployment standards, runbooks, and repeatable best practices

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Sr. Director of Customer Success & Delivery, Americas & US Federal on priorities and escalations
  • Work with Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Government Programs teams
  • Provide structured field feedback to influence Armada's federal product and delivery roadmap

Qualifications and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, forward-deployed engineering, or technical delivery roles in US Federal environments
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required; Full Scope Polygraph strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience supporting FedRAMP-authorized platforms, including ATO and continuous monitoring
  • Strong technical foundation in AI infrastructure, edge compute, data center systems, cloud platforms, and GPU-accelerated workloads
  • Proven ability to own both hands-on delivery and long-term program-level technical relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in classified and executive settings

Preferred Experience

  • Direct experience with FedRAMP Moderate or High environments
  • Background supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or federal civilian agencies
  • Experience operating in disconnected, denied, or austere environments
  • Experience scaling AI or compute platforms from prototype to mission-critical production

What Success Looks Like

  • Federal customers operating stable, secure, FedRAMP-compliant and classified AI infrastructure in production
  • Mutual Success Plans actively used as the system of record for mission execution and program health
  • Authorization milestones met on schedule with minimal friction
  • Programs renew and expand due to delivered mission value and operational trust
  • Armada is viewed as a long-term, mission-critical AI infrastructure partner to the US Government
