Job description

Work Arrangement:

***This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the U.S.A..***

At The Bancorp, weโ€™ve spent more than 25 years driving innovation in the financial services industry. As one of the first banks to embrace fintech, we combine technology, expertise and a forward-looking approach to deliver creative, real-world solutions. We work side by side with our partners to help them grow and innovate with confidence. Across Fintech Solutions, Institutional Banking, Commercial Lending and Real Estate Bridge Lending, we provide the people, processes, technology and banking capabilities that turn bold ideas into outcomes.

Join a team that brings urgency and rigor to every challenge and plays a direct role in driving growth for our clients and the communities we serve.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in operating and evolving the infrastructure that powers critical financial services platforms. Some days that means modernizing identity and authentication services; others, it's partnering with a project team to architect and deploy the infrastructure behind a new application or finding opportunities to drive automation and put AI-enabled capabilities to work. Across a hybrid infrastructure, spanning on-premises and cloud platforms, you'll advance the security, resiliency, and operational excellence that support the business. We're a small team with an enterprise-scale footprint, which means you'll work across the entire environment, not a single narrow lane, the impact of your work will be immediate and visible.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise infrastructure spanning Windows Server, VMware virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
  • Strengthen identity, security, and resiliency across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra through modern authentication technologies, infrastructure hardening, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Advance automation through PowerShell and emerging technologies, and partner with development teams on DevOps practices that ensure reliable application delivery.

We're looking for a systems engineer with 7+ years of experience supporting and improving enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate brings strong Windows Server expertise, experience working across hybrid environments, familiarity with modern identity and authentication technologies, and a passion for automation, security, and continuous improvement.

This job will be open and accepting applications for a minimum of five days from the date it was posted.
