The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for the successful integration of new client offices from assessment through deployment and handoff. This is a highly hands-on, heavily traveling role that serves as the technical lead for new office buildouts and integrations. The engineer will assess client environments, develop equipment recommendations, and execute onsite deployments of network, PC, and server infrastructure. Working closely with internal teams and onsite client resources ("boots on the ground"), this role manages office integrations to completion while ensuring consistency with client standards and best practices.
This role requires frequent and sometimes extended travel to client sites, including overnight and weekend stays.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite and remote assessments of client environments to determine infrastructure needs
  • Deploy, configure, and test network equipment (firewalls, switches, wireless access points), servers, and PCs
  • Coordinate and manage onsite integration activities, including directing and collaborating with local or client-side resources
  • Ensure integrations align with client standards, security requirements, and MSP best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during deployments and integrations
  • Communicate progress, risks, and completion status to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Work with cross-functional team members to effectively and efficiently support handoff to helpdesk or managed services teams following successful integration
  • Additional duties as needed

Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including some weekend travel
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Management & Information Sciences, or similar field preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of networking concepts, hardware, and infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switching, wireless)
  • Experience deploying and supporting servers, PCs, and related hardware
  • Well-rounded understanding of operating systems, software, and networked environments
  • Ability to assess environments, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, especially in a travel-heavy role
  • Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to client sites
  • Prior experience in an IT MSP environment preferred
  • Experience with office buildouts, relocations, or multi-site integrations required
  • Familiarity with quoting or project scoping for infrastructure deployments
