Inpatient Psychiatrist | PRN, Weekends, Moonlighting | Anchorage, Alaska

North Star Behavioral Health System has been among the top providers of behavioral health services in the state of Alaska since 1984, with the goal of supporting the whole family. Our facility holds great expectations for bringing hope and healing to children and adolescents by positively impacting their emotional and behavioral health through the compassionate care we provide. Dedicated to excellence, North Star is accredited by The Joint Commission.

Details
  • Position: Inpatient Moonlighting - Adult Psychiatrist.
  • Setting: Inpatient care, freestanding behavioral hospital.
  • Needs: 1099 physicians to provide weekend rounding (onsite preferred) and evening call coverage for adult units.
  • Team culture: A collegial, supportive, and caring environment that offers great work/life balance.
  • Coverage: Onsite coverage is highly preferred. Remote or hybrid arrangements considered.
Compensation
  • 1099 Independent Contractor preferred.
  • Hourly or shift rates are available.
Required Education, Training, and Licensure
  1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program.
  2. BE or BC General Psychiatry through ABPN.
  3. Licensed to practice in the State of AK or the ability to obtain an AK medical license.
  4. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians.
