Import Attorney - International Trade and Customs Law

A premier international trade law firm is seeking an experienced Import Attorney to join its practice. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a deep background in Customs law and a proven track record of managing complex trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel on tariff classification, valuation, and preference programs.
  • Navigate and interpret various import laws and international trade regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and draft technical documents for a diverse client base.
  • Manage client relationships directly, ensuring all requests are prioritized and deadlines are met.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with team leaders and subject matter experts.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Bar membership.
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in import law and Customs regulations.
  • Strong background in tariff classification and valuation.
  • Exceptional writing, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with direct client interaction.
