Kids Peace Wellness Center is seeking dedicated Mental Health Counselors to join our compassionate team. • Conduct thorough clinical assessments using solution-focused techniques to create tailored treatment plans that reflect clients’ strengths and challenges.
• Implement a range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring a commitment to evidence-based practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation following HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with a diverse treatment team that may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health counselors, sharing insights and strategies to enhance care.
• Participate in ongoing case consultations and peer review meetings to continuously improve the quality of care provided to clients.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mental health conditions, equipping them with the necessary tools and resources for recovery.
• Stay updated on the latest mental health trends and scientific research, ensuring that your practice remains at the forefront of the field.

In this role, you will work primarily with children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders. Understanding the unique challenges faced by these age groups is crucial, and your approach will be tailored to engage younger clients and their families effectively.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Arizona.
• Demonstrated knowledge of solution-focused psychotherapy techniques to effectively cater to diverse client needs.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt strategies based on client feedback.
• A collaborative spirit, understanding the value of teamwork in creating a supportive and positive working environment.

• Experience working with youth and families in mental health settings, particularly in outpatient environments.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and digital documentation tools.
• Familiarity with integrating family counseling and support within treatment plans.
