• Conduct thorough psychosocial evaluations for patients in a timely manner, employing strong interviewing and diagnostic skills to gather essential information.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique psychological and emotional needs of each patient, modifying strategies as required.
• Facilitate individual psychotherapy sessions, adhering to state regulatory standards and best practices in therapeutic techniques to promote emotional well-being.
• Conduct family therapy sessions, applying a solid understanding of family dynamics and therapy principles to support patients and their loved ones.
• Develop and lead group therapy sessions that foster connection and shared experiences among participants, enhancing their coping mechanisms.
• Engage in comprehensive discharge planning, coordinating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth transition in care.
• Document all treatment progress and evaluations meticulously, in compliance with program protocols, to maintain a clear, up-to-date record of patient care.

As an LCSW at Insight Behavioral Health, you will primarily work with patients experiencing terminal illnesses and their families. Your expertise will provide much-needed support in addressing the emotional, psychological, and social challenges they face during the end-of-life process. You will assist in managing feelings of grief, anxiety, and depression, ultimately enhancing their quality of life during this critical time.

• A master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution recognized by the Council on Social Work Education.
• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, demonstrating the capacity to identify and treat a wide array of mental health conditions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• A high standard of ethics and professionalism, with an unwavering commitment to client confidentiality.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably working within hospice or palliative care.
• Experience with end-of-life issues and the ability to provide culturally competent care to diverse populations.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and treatment planning.
