Job description

Overview Equivity is seeking an experienced virtual immigration paralegal to support attorneys across a range of family-based and humanitarian immigration matters. This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable adapting to different workflows, supporting evolving client needs, and partnering closely with attorneys in a remote setting. In this role, you'll work as part of a dedicated, long-term team of legal professionals, partnering directly with attorneys while remaining fully supported by Equivity's internal operations and leadership.

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of immigration law who can manage multiple cases, anticipate attorney needs, and thrive in a remote environment. What You May Support Preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications, which may include forms such as I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-539, I-864, and N-400. Assisting with green card matters, including family-based permanent residence, adjustment of status, and consular processing.

Supporting family-based petitions and related filings, including immediate relative and preference category cases. Assisting with humanitarian immigration matters, such as asylum, VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, TPS, or related filings, depending on the needs of the practice. Supporting naturalization and citizenship applications, including complex N-400 cases involving prior immigration history or admissibility concerns.

Assisting with waivers of inadmissibility (I-601, I-601A) and related hardship documentation. Drafting correspondence, RFEs, NOIDs, declarations, and assembling supporting evidence packets. Communicating with clients, attorneys, USCIS, consulates, and other agencies to collect documentation and help move cases forward.

Tracking filing deadlines, expirations, and case milestones to help ensure matters progress smoothly. Maintaining case files and records using immigration case management or practice management platforms such as Clio, LawLogix, INSZoom, Docketwise, or similar systems. Supporting high-volume and priority matters in areas such as humanitarian-based filings (asylum, VAWA, U/T visas), TPS-related filings and renewals, family reunification and consular processing, naturalization applications, and waiver-based cases involving more complex immigration histories.

About You Bachelor's degree required. Approximately 3+ years of recent immigration paralegal experience in 2 or more of the areas mentioned above. Working knowledge of USCIS forms, filing procedures, and documentation requirements.

Minimum availability of 20 hours/week to start. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases. Proficiency with immigration software like Docketwise and INSZoom.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe. Experience with legal software (Clio or similar is a plus). Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Windows-based computer preferred. Availability and responsiveness within 1 hour during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM). Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid sick time and employee discounts Quarterly performance bonuses Reimbursement of certain expenses Professional development and advancement opportunities Supportive and inclusive remote work culture Why You'll Love Working Here At Equivity, you are part of a dedicated, internally managed team of legal professionals—not a temporary placement.

We provide ongoing work with established attorneys while maintaining the flexibility of remote work. You'll be supported by an experienced operations team and work in a collaborative, professional environment that values quality and long-term relationships. About Equivity Equivity provides virtual paralegal, administrative, reception, staffing and marketing services to attorneys and businesses nationwide.

Our team works remotely while maintaining a collaborative, professional environment built on long-term support, consistency, and client success. To apply, visit www.equivityva.com. Equivity is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
