Is AI taking over illustration jobs?

AI tools are increasingly used in illustration, automating certain tasks and generating images, but they do not fully replace human illustrators. Remote illustrators often combine traditional skills with digital tools and creative judgment, which remain essential for unique and complex projects. Skills in digital art software and familiarity with AI-powered design tools are valuable for such roles, which often require a strong artistic background and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
