The Role
The Region Manager is responsible for effectively managing assigned region while overseeing and directing activities of Retail Sales Associates. This person works closely with Business Development Managers, other Sales Operations leaders, Store Managers, and various retail personnel to ensure retail business objectives are met. The Region Manager will supervise roughly 10 Retail Sales Associates, spread out across the Midwest.
What You'll Do
  • Responsible for being a business expert within assigned region, including an understanding of how the region is performing and what is driving performance, aligning with BDMs on key priorities to guide the team, identifying key challenges happening in the field, and being a voice for the region with Corporate Sales Operations leadership and Retail Sales leadership.
  • Establish priorities, performance expectations, and KPI metrics for team members to drive excellence and business results. Ensures execution and support of account initiatives and deploys team resources to focus on key priorities.
  • Provides effective training and development for team members. Schedules regular work-withs in the field with team members to observe, coach and provide on the spot feedback. Facilitates communication with team members through routinely scheduled team calls and individual 1:1s. Addresses any performance related concerns with team members with clear expectations, additional coaching, and holding them accountable.
  • Responsible for efficient and effective management of assigned region through territory routing and sizing. Regularly reviews store classifications and makes necessary changes to ensure call frequency and time spent aligns with stores where we make the greatest impact.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with BDMs, Sales leadership, and other internal cross functional partners to facilitate information sharing, ensure alignment, and effective execution of key priorities and initiatives.
  • Effectively manages budget for assigned region, including travel, overtime, promotional expenditures, placement spending, damage, POS, etc. with the goal of coming in under budget.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reporting, recaps, time approval, expense reports, etc. for self and team members.

Qualifications
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 4-6 years of Retail Sales experience, 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must live in the region.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to supervise; including delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
