Position Overview:
We are seeking Senior ServiceNow Engineers to work collaboratively to support a hybrid cloud environment, providing solutions for multi-cloud (AWS, Azure GCC-High, Google Cloud, and Oracle) and on-premises environments while ensuring a secure and reliable operational infrastructure. These positions will work closely with subject matter experts and DevSecOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Create, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow infrastructure and related APIs for customer applications in an AWS cloud-based environment.
- Create and maintain complex roles and permissions within ServiceNow to ensure data integrity and security.
- Utilize DevSecOps tools including Foreman, GitLab, and Selenium to deploy, upgrade, and maintain platform changes.
- Architect and maintain IdAM, Active Directory, and LDAP resources integrated with ServiceNow.
- Work within complex modern cloud architectures.
- Create and update technical documentation, including user guides, how-to guides, and infrastructure diagrams.
- Prepare technical presentations for government stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Develop automated testing plans.
- Support infrastructure spanning Linux and Windows environments.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, management, and customers.
- Apply strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Instill engineering rigor, including configuration management and testing.
- Contribute as part of an Agile Scrum development team.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- 5 - 10+ years of related software development, ServiceNow, or IT experience.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, STEM, etc.).
- Expertise with ServiceNow utilizing CI/CD, test automation, and/or DevSecOps practices.
- Strong administrative and engineering rigor.
- Experience verifying and validating ServiceNow and integrated systems, including end-to-end and regression testing.
- Expert troubleshooting and solution design skills.
- Experience with cloud architecture and system design (AWS preferred; Azure acceptable).
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Ability to accurately decompose work into Jira stories.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Foreman, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Experience with Selenium and automated test plan development for security and functional requirements.
- Knowledge of customer security requirements and processes.
- Experience maintaining and supporting ServiceNow components.
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Flow Designer, and Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Experience with DevSecOps testing practices.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory and LDAP.
- Strong understanding of security requirements in secure environments.
- Experience configuring monitoring and visualization tools such as Grafana and Splunk with ServiceNow.
Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications & Skills:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with cloud solution optimization.
- Experience configuring observability, monitoring, and analytics platforms such as AppDynamics and Dynatrace.
- Experience integrating virtualized applications and application streaming/layering technologies.
- Ability to assist in leading and overseeing a total system perspective across cloud services, infrastructure, and security domains.
