The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team!
This is an on-site role, reporting from The Collier Companies' Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate, and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities. As an HVAC Technician, you will support different communities in ensuring that all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems are operating efficiently and meet The Collier Companies' established standards. The HVAC Technician is an expert at diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing HVAC equipment while providing exceptional customer service to residents. The HVAC Technician's responsibilities could include but are not limited to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting HVAC systems, repairing and replacing components, responding to service requests, maintaining accurate records, managing a rotating on-call schedule, and assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed.

Your Skills - Show Us What You Got:
  • EPA type II required.
  • EPA Universal preferred.
  • Must have a truck that is in good working condition and capable of carrying required HVAC equipment.
  • Minimum 2 years of HVAC service, maintenance, and repair experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Apartment housing or multi-family maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair residential HVAC equipment, including split systems, package units, and heat pumps.
  • Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Organized, efficient, and able to prioritize service requests and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, which will include an emergency on-call rotation.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service and resident satisfaction.
