Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our team at the Woman's Counseling Center in Camden, New Jersey. This is a fully remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere while providing essential support to individuals, couples, and families. You will play a crucial role in improving clients' mental health and relationships by employing evidence-based therapeutic practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being through interviews and standardized tools, ensuring thorough understanding of their issues and goals.
  • Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments and client input, employing techniques such as Engagement, Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
  • Provide individual therapy to clients of all ages, addressing a variety of mental health concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
  • Facilitate couples therapy sessions focused on conflict resolution, communication enhancement, and relationship strengthening.
  • Regularly review and modify treatment plans to reflect clients' progress, adapting approaches as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
  • Document all client interactions comprehensively, ensuring documentation is timely, accurate, and compliant with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and healthcare professionals to offer holistic care tailored to clientsโ€™ diverse needs.
  • Engage in crisis intervention activities when required to support clients facing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Advocate for clientsโ€™ rights, providing resources and support to empower informed treatment decisions.
  • Remain abreast of advancements in the field, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your therapeutic skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in good standing with the state board.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to navigate electronic health record systems efficiently.
  • Understanding of mental health assessment techniques and the ability to use them effectively in practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with children and adolescents is preferred to address the unique dynamics presented in these client groups.
  • Previous exposure to group therapy settings or community outreach programs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with remote therapy tools and technology to enhance client interaction will contribute to success in this role.
