Xanitos is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for all shifts at UMH Sparrow and St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing, MI.
Pay: $14.84 per hour

• Shift Differentials are available

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:00pm -11:30pm
• 3rd Shift: 11:00pm -7:30am

About the Role:
We are seeking dependable Hospital Housekeepers to join our Environmental Services team. These positions include weekends and holidays. Qualified candidates who attend the virtual hiring event may receive an immediate job offer.
The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may work in any location on client premises. This individual cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facilities or locations in a health care campus. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Xanitos may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities, client requirements and applicable industry standards.
Daily Responsibilities:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps and/or vacuums floor.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebasket and Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Transports small equipment or tools between departments.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
• Medical cleaning a plus
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.

Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses. Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
