• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each client's unique presenting issues, personal history, and treatment goals, ensuring a tailored therapeutic approach.
• Provide expert individual and family therapy utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based therapy, and integrating the specific needs of clients facing end-of-life challenges.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families, adjusting strategies as necessary based on client progress and feedback.
• Maintain clear and confidential documentation of sessions and adhere to the ethical guidelines stipulated by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
• Engage in continuous professional development through training and workshops to remain current with best practices and innovative therapeutic methodologies.
• Foster a therapeutic alliance with clients and their families, promoting trust, cooperation, and an environment conducive to healing and personal growth.
• Assist clients in navigating complex emotional and practical challenges, equipping them with the skills and resources necessary to enhance their quality of life.

In this role, you will support clients and families dealing with significant emotional stress as they navigate the complexities of hospice care. This includes offering support for grief, loss, life transitions, and facilitating important conversations surrounding end-of-life care. Your expertise will empower clients to articulate their values and preferences, ensuring that their treatment aligns with their personal goals.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, ideally within a hospice or end-of-life care environment.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and effective intervention implementation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and clear communication.

Experience in hospice care or end-of-life counseling is highly desirable, as well as familiarity with relevant therapeutic techniques that address grief, loss, and trauma. Additional certifications in palliative care or bereavement support may be beneficial.
