Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess existing GE Proficy infrastructure and develop comprehensive migration plans
  • Lead end-to-end GE Proficy migrations and provide post-migration support
  • Upgrade and migrate Kepware, GE iHistorian, Plant Applications, and related modules
  • Configure GE Proficy Plant Model and troubleshoot Plant Applications services and logs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility and data integrity
  • Design and implement architecture changes for scalability and performance
  • Develop testing protocols, validation plans, and rollback procedures
  • Troubleshoot data flows and industrial communication protocols including OPC, MQTT, and Modbus
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, migration logs, configurations, and user guides
  • Provide after-hours/weekend support during migration and cutover activities
  • Provide on-call support during go-live periods

Preferred Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience with GE Proficy Suite
  • VBScript and PowerShell
  • Backup strategies
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
  • Experience with industrial automation environments
