This role is primarily remote, allowing you to provide therapy from the comfort of your chosen environment. While our principal office in Rochester serves as the organizational hub, we leverage technology to maintain robust connections among team members. You will collaborate with an experienced group of mental health professionals, benefiting from regular peer consultations and support. You'll have access to our comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) system, enhancing your efficiency in documentation and patient engagement.

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health concerns and craft effective, personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based individual therapy sessions tailored specifically to the unique needs of each client, using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities.
• Set collaborative therapeutic goals with clients, fostering an environment of trust and mutual engagement, and regularly monitor their progress toward achieving those goals.
• Provide flexible teletherapy options for clients, ensuring ease of access to mental health services for those who may prefer virtual sessions.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely documentation in accordance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards, reflecting our commitment to professionalism.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, including workshops, seminars, and training sessions to stay informed about emerging practices and innovations in mental health care.

Our clientele consists of diverse individuals dealing with challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups and backgrounds, providing tailored support that meets their unique cultural and personal experiences.

• Current and valid licensure in New York State as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PsyD.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude in interactions with clients facing various mental health challenges.
• Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities for managing a dynamic caseload and fulfilling administrative responsibilities.

• Previous experience in outpatient mental health settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote counseling methodologies.
• Experience with specific populations (e.g., adolescents, veterans, individuals with trauma histories) may be advantageous.
