Work Environment

As a licensed Mental Health Therapist at Thrive, you will enjoy a fully remote work setting that promotes flexibility while adhering to professional and ethical standards of care. Our clinic employs a holistic approach to mental health, encouraging collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and consistent communication to ensure the well-being of our patients. Although your primary work will be remote, you may occasionally meet with teams and clients in our Pittsburgh outpatient office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and compassionate trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and develop tailored treatment strategies.
• Design and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and enhancing resilience within each patient.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patient healing.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions focusing on trauma processing, coping skill enhancement, and emotional regulation.
• Coordinate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care options for patients.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective assistance.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma-related responses, adaptive coping strategies, and additional community resources available for support.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in line with legal regulations and ethical standards, utilizing an electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continued education activities that emphasize trauma-informed practices.
• Stay informed about the latest research and treatment solutions pertinent to trauma therapy to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work at Thrive will primarily center on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, combat veterans, accident victims, and individuals coping with loss or adverse childhood experiences. Our aim is to provide a holistic and individualized therapeutic environment that acknowledges the complexity of trauma and offers customized support for each client's journey to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly focused on trauma intervention.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Demonstrated capacity to engage patients using trauma-focused therapy practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor and a non-judgmental approach to care.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ensuring patient safety and trust.
• Proficiency in digital EHR systems and various computer applications.
• A commitment to teamwork and collaborative care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Compensation and Benefits
