Williams Consulting, LLC (WCLLC), a Baltimore, Maryland-based government contracting firm, is seeking a Health Scientist I based in Atlanta, Georgia to support a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) public health evaluation initiative.

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience supporting public health evaluation activities through evaluation planning, implementation, data analysis, technical assistance and reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree preferred: Ph.D. in Public Health, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Social Sciences or a related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience supporting CDC, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), or other federal public health agencies with program evaluation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting Diabetes prevention programs preferred.
  • Experience conducting a systematic assessment of a program or project's inputs, activities, and outputs to determine its value or worth and to improve the program.
  • Experience developing an evaluation plan, identifying evaluation questions and indicators, collecting, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative program data, interpreting the data in the context of the program, and reporting findings.
  • Experience developing a program logic model, identifying appropriate program outcomes, facilitating internal and external partner meetings, and providing assistance or training on evaluation, methods, concepts, and tools.
  • Familiarity with implementation research concepts and methods, including process evaluation and assessment of implementation barriers and facilitators.
  • Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint) efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to use and manage CDC Administrative Systems (HUMAN SUBJECTS, OMB, AND IRB, and E-Clearance) efficiently and effectively.
  • Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to travel (limited).
  • Must provide three (3) management references that can attest to qualifications.
  • Background investigation required.

Location: Remote (Atlanta Georgia-based) | Limited travel required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Standing, sitting, squatting, and other normal office-related physical activities are required. Must be able to sit and read computer screens for extended periods.
