Job description

We are looking for a Project Design and Estimator I to join our Project Resource Center team! In this role, you will manage project timelines, ensure accuracy in deliverables, and foster continuous improvement. You will support inside sales services that increase ADS product opportunities and specifications on projects, enhancing both sales potential and customer value.

The services that you will be responsible for initially will be based on the needs of ADS to meet it’s sales objectives and growth goals – your future responsibilities will vary based on your performance and desire to learn and the needs of ADS.

  • Inside Sales Services include:
    • Assessing Civil Engineering Plans to identify the opportunities for ADS products and managing the Project Resource Center’s work to support sales in winning this work
    • Leveraging ADS Design Tools or AutoCAD to provide ADS product designs
    • Leveraging BlueBeam to “Take Off” ADS product opportunities from civil engineering plans or internal designs to create a Bill of Materials
    • Completing Quotes based on customer lists or Bills of Materials

Key Responsibilities

Project Services

  • An associate completes work (take offs, quotes, drawings) within assigned area(s).
  • Utilize tools such as Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and other drafting software to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Meet daily output and quality measures as defined in Salesforce.
  • Consistently meet SLAs for turnaround times, following applicable review processes for more complex work.
  • Work independently following training, with periodic reviews from supervisors to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Issue Resolution

  • Identify issues with information provided by Sales or Customers.
  • Work to get clarification to ensure work is completed accurately.
  • Leverage available resources or escalate to appropriate supervisor.
  • Manage timelines effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of ADS products and their proper application.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Take responsibility for understanding directions and reach out using appropriate channels.
  • Follow department policies and procedures.
  • Initiate conversations and ask appropriate questions.
  • Be visible while interacting on video calls in accordance with ADS Dress Code.

Relationship Building

  • Establish relationships with mentors, team members, and the outside sales team.
  • Seek out advice and ask questions proactively.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet business goals and assist in other areas when directed.

Performance and Quality

  • Display accountability and dependability in the execution of assigned projects.
  • Actively track progress on goals and make achievements and opportunities for improvement visible to supervisors.
  • Take initiative and demonstrate the ability to think outside the box.
  • Provide input for continuous improvement initiatives and embrace changes in processes or technology.
  • Demonstrate openness to receiving constructive feedback and use it as an opportunity for growth and improvement.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant business experience.
  • Degree or certifications in Science, Technology, Math, or Engineering (preferred).
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel).
  • Aptitude for working with 2D or 3D documents.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work quickly without compromising accuracy.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience reading Civil Engineering Plans.
  • Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management experience for work management or quoting.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu or other Engineering Mark-Up Software, AutoCAD, or other drafting software.
