Job Title: Business Manager - Learning & Development (Portfolio Operations)
Client: Confidential global biotech organization (R&D / Computational Sciences)
Location: Remote (US; EST preferred)
Contract: Long-term W2 contract through 2026 + benefits (strong extension potential)
Pay Rate: $50-70/hr DOE
Overview:
Strategic Business Manager role will be supporting a global R&D organization focused on advancing AI, data, and digital capabilities to accelerate drug discovery. This role drives execution of Learning & Development and Operational Guidelines workstreams, helping standardize and scale enterprise processes across a matrixed global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead execution of L&D and Operational Guidelines workstreams within portfolio operations
  • Partner with workstream leads on planning, milestones, and delivery execution
  • Track roadmaps, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Support enterprise learning programs and scientific training operations
  • Coordinate training assignments, workshops, and learning system activities (LMS)
  • Support rollout of standardized operational processes and governance frameworks
  • Enable cross-functional alignment across global stakeholders

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's or more advanced depth and breadth of training and experience and who meet job-specific criteria are eligible for consideration. Project management coursework or additional supportive training is a must (e.g. PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, Design Thinking, Agile methodology, etc.).
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in healthcare life sciences (HCLS).
  • Experience operating L&D information systems (e.g. Cornerstone)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation or process standardization initiatives
  • Ability to work across global teams and time zones
  • Strong execution focus with ability to translate strategy into delivery
