This remote role offers you the flexibility to maintain a work-life balance while delivering impactful mental health services. You'll primarily engage with clients virtually, utilizing secure and efficient telehealth platforms to conduct assessments and therapy sessions. • Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans that address clients’ specific mental health needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic services employing various methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, adapting your approach based on client feedback and progress.
• Collaborate closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and social workers to create a holistic support network for clients, ensuring their needs are met from all angles.
• Handle crisis intervention scenarios with professionalism, providing immediate support to clients in acute distress while developing follow-up plans to ensure continued safety and care.
• Engage in community outreach programs and workshops, aimed at increasing mental health awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues within the community.

Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the Lansing community. You will work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and family-related issues. A commitment to cultural competence is essential as you will encounter clients from different ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, each with unique needs and perspectives.

• Possession of an active and independent license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Master Social Worker - Clinical Specialty (MSW - Clinical).
• A completed master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to establish therapeutic relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of trust and rapport.
• A demonstration of cultural awareness and sensitivity in your interactions with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Exemplary organizational and time-management skills, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and treatment plans.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred, ideally focusing on outpatient therapy.
• Experience using telehealth platforms to facilitate client sessions, adapting to technology to ensure effective therapeutic engagement.
