Your duties can include assisting clients as they complete paperwork to obtain coverage and answering questions from new or existing policy-holders.

What are some common challenges of working in a remote health insurance role, and how can they be managed?

A common challenge in remote health insurance roles is maintaining effective communication with both clients and team members, as much of the work relies on virtual interactions. To manage this, professionals often use secure digital platforms and regularly scheduled video meetings to stay connected. Another challenge is staying updated with changing regulations and insurance policies, which requires proactive participation in ongoing training and close collaboration with compliance teams. Time management and self-motivation are also crucial, as remote work requires balancing multiple tasks independently throughout the day.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote health insurance specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Health Insurance Specialist, you need a solid understanding of health insurance policies, claims processing, and regulatory compliance, often supported by a relevant degree or insurance license. Position Overview:

We are looking for motivated and ambitious individuals to join our growing team as Health Insurance Agents. This is a commission-based role with unlimited earning potential, designed for those who are driven to succeed in sales, financial education, and client relationship management.

Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Proven System – Access established sales processes, training, technology, and ongoing support

Responsibilities:

    •    Educate potential clients on health insurance options that fit their needs

    •    Follow up with leads provided by numerous partners

    •    Guide clients through the application and underwriting process

    •    Maintain strong relationships with clients for policy reviews and referrals

    •    Sales Background: Proven track record of consistent production and meeting/exceeding sales goals

    •    Current Situation: Prefer agents who can sell but are being held back by poor lead flow, weak management, limited carrier options, or low compensation—not by lack of ability

    •    Work Ethic: Comfortable working 50–60+ hours per week

    •    Mindset: Highly competitive, self-motivated, coachable, disciplined, and accountable

    •    Phone Skills: Strong objection handling, closing ability, and confidence on inbound/outbound phone sales

    •    Availability: Able to start quickly

    •    Compensation: Motivated by uncapped commission and performance-based income

    •    Long-Term Fit: Looking to build a long-term career rather than a temporary opportunity

    •    Team Culture: Positive attitude, receptive to coaching, and able to work within a high-performance sales environment

    •    Preferred Demographic: Primarily male candidates (preferred, not required)

Bonus Qualifications:

Previous experience with carriers such as Allstate Health, UnitedHealthcare/Golden Rule, Freedom Life, National General, Pivot, or similar private health products

Held multiple state licenses (10+ preferred)

Experience consistently writing high weekly premium or high application volume

History of working self-generated, aged, or live-transfer leads rather than relying solely on inbound marketing

Compensation:

    •    100% commission-based with uncapped earnings

    •    Performance-based bonuses & incentives

    •    Residual income from renewals and policy maintenance
